Case Study

AMAC Ventilation
Ventilation system installation, Covenant church Leicester
Project specification: To supply and install an office ventilation system.

Design criteria: This project was based around providing an office with adequate fresh air supply and extraction to comply with current

building regulations. The system had to be designed and co-ordinated with lighting layout drawings and consideration taken for duct routes and sizes due to ceiling heights and other services/obstructions.

Scope of works: To install four Mitsubishi LOSSNAY units. The units reduce overall energy costs by extracting stale air and then recovering the heating or cooling energy to either warm or cool incoming fresh air. To install all install and supply ductwork and commission.

Method of installation:
Firstly, we installed the LOSSNAY units in position as per layout drawing. We then set about installing the supply and extraction ductwork. This was all hung on split rings and unistrut framework for the units. Fresh air was supplied and stale air extracted from the office area via 600x600 ceiling tile replacement grilles. Ductwork was taken to outside through an insulated hole where it was terminated to outdoor grilles. All ductwork was lagged by us.
The controls were installed by us. All mains power supplies were installed and tested by AMAC Electrical.
Completion & hand-over:
Once all systems had been commissioned, a written record of the air flow, commissioning data and manufacturers’ details were recorded and forwarded on to the client so that current on site records could be updated to comply with all building regulations.
